This scenic waterfall is located in ‘Grinds Brook’ a little brook just outside of Edale, a cute village in the Peak District, and one of the feeding arteries to the River Noe. Found between Sheffield and Manchester, Edale is a great spot for a summer walk but how about you learn more about the area

It has history dating back to the Domesday Book, where it was named Aidele. However, the River Noe in this area also holds its own history. It’s been utilised to power the local mills, including one that made cotton which was built in 1795 and remained in use until the 1940’s when it eventually stopped spinning cotton.

Nowadays, Edale, is popular for hikers and campers due to it being the start of the Pennine Way hiking trail.

Wouldn’t you love to be sat in the sun with a picnic next to this pretty waterfall right now?
